A cluster, randomized, controlled trial of Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies (PATHS) was conducted with children aged four to six years in 56 schools for one hour per week for two school years.
The Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies (PATHS) program promotes peaceful conflict resolution, emotion regulation, empathy, and responsible decision making. P ATHS is designed for use in prekindergarten through sixth grade, with separate sets of lessons for first through fourth grade and combined sets of lessons for use in preschool and kindergarten and in fifth and sixth grade.
